Art Bank

Art Bank

The Art Bank is another way of supporting the people involved in Siloam Mission’s Art Program.

If you have several rooms with spaces for art and can’t decide what to put on the walls, the Art Bank might be a good fit.

What do you do?

Instead of purchasing one piece destined for each room where it will hang, you purchase several pieces. These are then chosen by the room’s occupants or even rotated regularly.

We’ve seen this at work in the Arlene Wilson Recovery Centre. A very generous donor came up with the concept. Here’s how it works:

When someone moves into the Nest Program, they can look at the artwork available and choose one from the collection for their room. Pieces that aren’t chosen for a private room are hung in common areas to be enjoyed by everyone.

How can I get my own Art Bank?

You can email us and we’ll happily work with you on curating your own mini-collection: art@siloam.ca
